I always use the word agency to describe what you are talking about but I like calling it sovereignty. We all deserve to be queen (or king- you do you boo!) of ourself- inside and out:)

Also I love the sweatshirt. My cats look just like light fury and toothless so I have a soft spot for them:). You should definitely wear it proudly. I’m exhausted by people wearing age appropriate clothing….who decides that anyway?!? If it makes you smile then rock it!

I love your comment! All of it! Thank you!

Esp love, "I'm exhausted by people wearing age appropriate clothing...who decides that anyway?"

I mean look, I'm all for protecting kids innocence and when it comes to little kids there has been a way over sexualizing of childrens' fashion. When it comes to adults though, as I said in my other. comments, "I'm all the ages I've ever been" and on top of that, I was a very serious child a lot of the time, so I have to make up for it! :)

Same!!! The pink hair I have now I would never have dared to dream of as a kid.

Also I agree- let’s make adults dressing with more joy and less age consciousness a thing….and make kids clothes comfortable and made for the movement needed when out adventurously discovering the world.

I'm IN <3 !!

I love that you totally embraced what you inner child wanted to do with the pink hair! I've never dyed mine but if I were going to, I think I would go violet or pure white, or maybe both!

I’ve done everything from pale pink to fuchsia to lavender to navy blue.

It’s been enlightening in 2 ways- recognizing how I carry myself depending on the color and, more interestingly, how others react to different colors. Pale pink and lavender are easy colors- no one is threatened by a grown woman with cotton candy colored hair lol.

But go navy blue? Turns out you have to OWN that color or it will own you😂 my daughter said,” dark blue says you mean business but nobody knows quite what that business is”

I think she’s onto something🤷‍♀️😂

Oh wow - that is INTERESTING! It makes sense...I told a little girl who commented that I am kind of small that I choose a little body so I wouldn't intimidate people too much ;)

Have you tried royal blue/sapphire? I'd be curious the reaction as I have a strong connection with the sapphire/royal blue indigo color...(did you read my Noor post?_

Expand full comment

Blue is super hard to maintain so whether one wants to or not you end up with many versions 😂. I’m super drawn to sapphire as well and I loved it the few times I got it perfectly sapphire. It didn’t seem to matter much what shade the blue was for other people though- it was still oddly confronting even for the ones who loved the color

Expand full comment

That is so fascinating because my energy feels so different around sapphire versus navy. Like navy feels like storm, military...sapphire feels like a home - clear, empowered, sound, resonant, strong, resonant with co-creating goodness for all. Check at out Hathor's chapter in The Sophia Code if you get a chance. It sings so true of the JOY of creation and the power of the throat/sapphire chakra and all things quantum reality! <3 <3!!

You’ve got me thinking all things blue now. I love all shades of blue and am always drawn to them. The blanket over me is sapphire and the paint swatches for my living room are about 50 subtly different shades of dark blue 😂

I always choose blue if it’s an option. It’s been the only color I paint my nails since before Chanel made it a “thing.

Having said that- your comment on sapphire vs navy has me thinking. I don’t wear traditional navy a lot, but do often wear cobalt. The darker the blue the safer and more conservative it feels- unless it’s my hair apparently 😂

Expand full comment

Fascinating...what do you think feels safe/conservative about it? I feel like cobalt is closer to indigo...like royal blue (read toned down sapphire, with some red/violet/purple...)

I do feel navy is an "acceptable" blue, along with the blue on the flag...but if you go into the more crystalline forms of it you treat on water that is not part of programming palette...

Think Kyanite or blue agate...

Expand full comment

But acceptable in the sense of....usually used for domination or to show power in a worldly way...whereas sapphire I feel has a quality that is harder to co-opt and leads to that True Empowerment that leads but not in a dominating way.

Expand full comment

Honestly I think navy feeling safe is sort of like black feeling safe- it may not be your most flattering outfit but it gets you by without any side eye. Which means that it’s more about social programming of what’s acceptable than any real truth.

I actually typed both cobalt and indigo and then deleted it bc some people see indigo as more of a purple because it’s so inky and saturated.

I really love the sea colors. There’s an amazing piece of Caribbean calcite sitting on the shelf across from me right now and it’s got that translucent turquoise that you see in clear ocean water. I LOVE that color- but I rarely wear it. I could say it’s because jewel tones look better on me (which is true but has never stopped me from wearing other things anyway) but I think o don’t wear it much because it feels more likely to draw attention. Not that I don’t wear things that draw attention- hello I alternate between blue and pink hair!!! But….I don’t know how to describe it other than it feels like a color that would make me more vulnerable???

Hmmmm….that went deep fast 😂

That is so interesting...I think I understand. Suzy Miller, one of my teachers from times past, has been coming up in conversation recently, once said that the autistic kids need the frequency of Lemurian Love to incarnate fully into this world. I was trying to get a sense of "Lemurian Love" and she told me to picture the aqua sees and high mountains lush greens of Hawaii, which is the ancient site of Mu/Lemuria...so if Lemurian love is this simple, extraordinary, pure love that feels like the crystal aqua sea...to be that much innocence in this world takes the badass Sapphire of unstoppability to have the courage to do it!

I love that! I think that makes so much sense. It kind of gives a new perspective on why we can walk into spaces and feel a way about them without quite knowing why. So much of our inner world can be glimpsed through the colors we surround ourselves with.

Yes. In your honor I put on my cornflower blue scarf and was drawn to a crystal my hubby gave me - it's orca. It is navy and white swirly. And it is good for resilience, grief, protection from negative energy and transmutation. It is beautiful and it sits next to a beautiful soft pink one of similar shape. Sometime I'll post a picture.

^I got to have a redeeming experience of navy because of what was shared!

Expand full comment

Oh please do! I have so many crystals around my home that my wasband asked once asked me if I was trying to build a house out of them. In honor of our status both as divorced and better friends than ever I replied,” only if it guarantees to keep you out” 😂

I think orca stones are vastly underrated for their beauty and power. Good choice hubby!

OMG - I think you are trying to build a crystal palace and I'm 100% for it. I wanted to build a crystal sugary bakery when I was little! I used to comb through parking lots of gravel looking for crystals. I thought about posting the pics of the crystals now but they do not want to be photographed at this time. I will when I get their permission, which hopefully will be soon. In the mean time I am about to post one of me, so hopefully you'll get there vibe indirectly.

How do you carry yourself differently with each?

Expand full comment

Blue didn’t allow me not to take up space. Maybe that was partially because it forced me to wear makeup so I didn’t look like a vampire, but it was more than that.

When people saw me they had a reaction to it and they couldn’t hide it. When my hair was blue I felt like I had to meet the world more boldly and head on.

Pink on the other hand seems to be more palatable to strangers. People were more likely to to touch me when they said they liked my hair (not in a creepy way…mostly). They were more relaxed. People didn’t feel guarded, which is interesting right? I mean I doubt there’s a correlation between hair color and threat level and yet you would think there was by peoples response 😂

Expand full comment

Blue is TRUTH...you meet people who are so refreshed by it but also it is a scary thing for many to be in an energy that facilitates a bold TRUTH proclamation even if it's just energy, which is all anything is anyway!

Pink is LOVE...soft, gentle, friendship, compassionate, feminine...even innocence like a baby...

They are both so pure and perfect, but I can see how people are drawn more to love than to truth. In my posts the ones that focus on love are much more accessible to people than the ones that focus on truth/Truth in ways that people are not conditioned to feel safe to talk about!

The various shades of violets/lavender I think are the softer and bolder versions of that blending...

A softer version of blue is cornflower blue....it resonates with more gentleness...I love that one too!

I’ve never thought about it that way but I think you just summed it up perfectly!!!

Coincidentally, I just realized I am wearing pink, but with a black wool sweater over it - a loving black sheep? Lol...

There’s never a bad time to wear pink in my opinion😂

I'll take it! I realized I am also wearing white wool under the pink. I once encountered a meme about a really wooly shape that didn't have to fight because it was SO soft. I think that might be the reminder for me! :) <3

I was telling my husband the other day I wish people came in more colorful hues...like...I'd love a world where people came in lime green, soft pink, deep violet, lavender, sapphire, rose, moss green, vibrant orange, lemon yellow, fuscia-magenta and so on! When I look at some eastern iconography-mythology its seems maybe at one time there were blue people like Krishna and Green people like Green Tara!

I totally get that!!! Im always so jealous of people who say they see auras. Who cares if they do or joke at think they do? How wonderful to see humans as a rainbow

Expand full comment

Heheh...I totally feel you. I see glimpses occasionally but I have had a lot of friends over the years who can see them all out all the time. I used to be really jealous but then I realized we are all just as we need to be and each have the skills we need for our life purpose. Also the few times I've seen then it was slightly distracting...I was like, "I'm trying to listen to your words, but I'm really fascinated watching your crown..." Lol

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could show others their crown? So much sadness on the world would be alleviated if we had the ability to see ourselves through others eyes
