Over dinner my family and I discussed a few of the world’s events. We try to keep things light as I think if someone isn’t directly involved in a tragedy, it’s most helpful to keep the larger perspective, which is that everything complex and insane is ultimately working together for the empowerment and liberation of all beings to live in both harmony and sovereignty. We observed that a shocking number of actors on the world’s political stage are actually actors. Hegsethe went from being accused of pliagarizing his senior projectat Princeton to being in the military to fox news, to…well, you know. Candace Bergen was rocking it in the Candian Parliament back when Canada using force against its peaceful protestors who didn’t want the jab. Reagan. Trump. Zelensky. O’leary. Schwartzenegger. I see my neighborhood populated with signs that say, “democracy dies in silence” and I agree, it’s just that Palpatine probably would have been democrat. Trump actually more closely resembles Anakin when he was on his child killing spree with more fat. And ssn’t in convenient that Amidala - clearly an intelligent leader who loves her people, left to speak for her in a time where someone competent and wise was absolutely needed, in the hands of someone who was inevitably going to screw it up?
So we’re sitting at dinner talking and I mention a thing I didn’t click on about a deep fake involving Bill Clinton.
And I got this idea: What if someone did a deep fake of world leaders actually doing the ethical thing? In the middle east, the Prime Minister declares that all peoples with historical ties to the land have the right to live in peace, with full equal rights and free access to all the same privileges as full and equal citizens ready to learn from one another, as Einstein suggested. The leaders of the tech industry, along with their global leader counterparts in China, the US and Russia announce they are all ending all research involving autonomous AI weaponization. The world’s leading nuns announce they are DONE with obedience vows. Then they storm the Vatican burning their bras, their habits and their vows.
All the priests are at Davos, helping Klausy distribute the land back to the Indigenous Peoples, along with all his Swiss Bank Accounts. The pope apologizes for being complicit in the cover up of priest abuse. One of the robot dogs at Mar-El-Largo absolves him of his sins, because he’s transhumanist (see the Catholic tradition of De Chardin.
Well my dog looked at me disapprovingly. So I had to agree. As funny as it would be, it would be unethical. So then I suggested, how about a movie? Well then you get into the problems of deep fakes without consent. My son then told there is some new legislation to regulate deep fakes. I said, “What is it really about? He said he thinks it’s really about allowing it. But controlling it. Figures. I agree with my dog. It’s not ethical. So then I thought, how about historical figures? Like Nero. Or Claudius. Or Chris Colonoscopy. I mean the guy who sailed the ocean blue in 1492.
I did an impression of him being really sorry. And giving people the land and the stuff and going around like a sensitive guy, making amends the best he can.
Yesterday when I read about California and also about what Israel accurately called a Selfie boat full of celebrities (Hey I don’t give Israel credit for a lot,) so credit where credit is due,), I realized I needed to get past my knee jerk negativity toward the corruption which infuriates me on all sides and is designed to separate good people from the truth(s) we’d all piece together if we weren’t manipulated into sides. I went deep into meditation and touched/found a peace that emanated from inside where I could remember that while the drama is insane and often a tragedy and comedy all at once, ultimately, all these beings are Love…all these actors are just playing and a role. Beyond their bad acting, we are all sacred and divine.
