Reminds me of a book I once read "Multiple Intelligences" by Howard Gardner. Always have struggled with my learning and comprehension. Reading this book provided me with a different understanding about my struggles, and gave me the confidence to continue striving to learn and taught me to appreciate that we "all" exhibit different strengths when it comes to learning.
Immediately I thought about what I understood to be an Albert Einstein quote: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid" but I looked it up and discovered that it has been attributed to Einstein but actually there is no hard evidence he said it. Matthew Kelly attributed it to him earliest, according to Quote Investigator. https://quoteinvestigator.com/2013/04/06/fish-climb/
Yes, agreed, completely - wisdom is wisdom no matter who said it! School is so f-d rock fellers molded cage anyhoo - I did well in school but it was only the handful of special teachers who actually taught me anything worthwhile. I had an awesome convo the other day with a young woman - can't remember how we got on the topic but I mentioned I think school crushes the innate creative genius in everyone and then later, gives it back in doses deemed controllable, along with credentials as you go through "higher" education. So you could just skip that and keep your innate genius and hone it in your own way for your highest offering to life in joyful service. She then told me she is a dropout and that made her feel a lot better!
I couldn't agree more. I see this more so in others. Debilitating to many who would thrive in the presence of those "special" teachers. I couldn't agree more with the conversation had. Keep your innate genius and hone it in "your" own way in a joyful service. Oh I bet, for a longg while my future appeared like it wouldn't amount to much of anything considering I never had pursued higher education, oddly, I found myself wanting to well after the many years I've wasted frolicking around with substance abuse. Realizing now, although an option, it isn't required.
Beautifully said. Joyful service, here we come/are! <3 Happy New Year (Year of the Wood Dragon starts Feb 10, so I hear we may not *feel* like it's NEW until then! :) xo

However, what I do know Einstein wrote was a badass letter in the NY times

Lovely, I think of that quote just the same. Has provided assistance over many years.
