Thank you! I was a little surprised when I looked and it was a 21 minute read…lol, last week’s was like a 1 minute read, or something. I feel very connected to Kauai although I haven’t been there since my teenage years. My husband summered on Maui as a kid after his dad moved back there having some some years in the Boston Area. I also have spent powerful time on the Big Island - once on retreat and the other time as a family. The dolphins taught me about playful empathy - the wisdom to have compassion and knowing-empathy without a vibe drop. Not that I’m perfect or even close, the lesson keeps unfolding itself!

And yes, there is a lot in that post. What did you find most thought provoking, if you feel like sharing?

Probably the abortion discussion. While I have no love for the idea of killing unborn children, and I am grateful to my mother for not choosing to terminate her pregnancy with me as a single teenager, I know it is not my place to make those decisions.

Plus, I’ve come to realize it’s so many of these decisions are more about the health of the woman than the fetus.

I also had the experience of driving my own daughter to an abortion clinic for a procedure several hours away (one that is no longer open now), And the idea that she could’ve been forced to give birth is unconscionable.

@Aaron Waddell - I appreciate the totality of what you shared. It stretches your heart in both directions to sense your own place in that story, as well as your daughter’s. <3
