^ YES. Cat/Dog...our like move beyond stereotypes. The younger is a forever puppy. She is a pure soul puppy, puppy soul through and through. The older is really a human in a dog body. But both are feisty and independent and you have to give them something really good that they think is worth it to get them to do something they otherwise would prefer not to, and sometimes they will still look at you like, "What did you think I was gonna go for that or something?" Our cat will sit for a treat! He is almost more "dog." I have always had a feeling dogs were not *originally* meant to be obedient but rather companions. I feel like our orientation toward pets is a little off and the pets have more or less adapted to it...much like how humanity has adapted to its cages so much it often doesn't see them. So much breeding...to suit various human purposes. But who and how would dogs be if they were their most natural selves IN loving relationship to humans?
I'm sure that's true. We don't have a dog, but occasionally (like at the moment) have 'workawayers' with a dog. We feel it's like having a child. Every canine a completely different personality (obviously). I assume the natural selves of dogs are wolves (or jackals, foxes etc.).
How would they be in loving relationship to humans? That's the big question in relation to all of nature and Mother Earth, isn't it? Josh and I were just having a conversation about the struggle of reconnecting with our indigenousness... the deep connection with the Earth, which all humans have by nature, and which has been killed off by religion and other power structures.
Oh 🤭 that's a little too personal to share here in public. But the fundamental questions & thoughts about connecting with nature and our intrinsic indigenous nature etc. will find their way into my writings.
The poetics of puppies 👏🙏❤️
POP!
and I thought dogs obey their alpha humans...🦮
it's their learning journey, I guess 🤔
They remind me of our cat 🐈
"If I ask her to come, she’ll usually walk away
But if I wait, neutrality holding sway
Soon she comes and curls and settles in
And if not soon, then later"
¡and what a great finishing line!:
»It reminds of the way detachment with love can help us as a creator«
love + detachment = holding the space for the right thing to do itself 💕

Mmmm...<3 Feeling this. How did your conversation with Josh go?

Sweet. I love that you know when you're not comfortable to share something in public.
