Hello Everyone!
Here is a song my son wrote.
This is an impromptu recording of the song “Peace” by Adam Bridge (and his parents accompanying - I sing, hubby on the Guitelele) with deep gratitude for everyone praying for peace, being peace and supporting peace.
I shared a couple of posts ago that two things of note happened: I got the mail and in it was a pamphlet from one of our representatives. She is not bald. I wish she didn’t win. She may represent the same corrupt influences as Tammany Hall. Actually, probably does. I used to call her, write her. She blew me off, consistently. The fighter jets that carry nukes above my head are her thing. The pamphlet showed her with an overweight white man and said that she always puts Wisconsin first. Let me tell, she doesn’t.
Later, a fighter jet flew so loud and so low I thought the world truly might explode…I wondered if the world might end. I have never heard such a sound like the air itself were cracking, more than rumbling, even disupruptively so. The noise from fighter jets hurts wildlife. It hurts humans. Then when they are used, it kills wildlife - and humans. When the moment I thought the world itself might explode went on its way and I was glad to still be here,
I was led to say loudly, gutturally, with all that is in me, to all that is around me that can hear and feel me, from the outside deck overlooking the neighborhood. I said it loudly and passionately, with all the conviction in my heart.
Peace! Peace! Peace!
No more war. No more war. No more war.
After a rough day, I took myself for a walk to the corner, only to find the most beautiful surprise: The Peace flag was flying.
Sometimes we need to be a little ridiculous to get our message out, while other times we need to go within and find the stillness and peace within through acceptance of that which is, at least from a human perspective beyond our control. I also had an experience of being able to be present with some really challenging things in a new way, of welcoming my own feelings without resistance about circumstance that aren’t up to me, other than that I know my role. Whether we are led to be vocal change leaders or to be the witness with pure hearted compassion, we are part of bringing peace and praying peace into being. And it’s coming.
Bless you
Bless us all
May Sovereign Harmony Prevail
Where all are honored, cherished and free
Where liberty and loving kindness are valued as branches of the same tree
Where we honor the dragonfly
The bird
The bee
The river
The sea
You and me
Our whole life
Interuniversal
Cosmic
Family
Where the joy of being
Is the joy of contributing who we are
In creation
Through our wonder
Our art
Our love
Our music
Our dance
Our presence
Our skills
Our innovations
And our discernment, operating from the level of our Oversoul
You are here
You are here
Through all you’ve been through
There is a reason
Smile ear to ear
At the sound of peace
Coming
Many a shed tear
To water the earth
Beyond all our old fear
Draw near
And sing with us
Dance with us
Pray with us
Find your inner stillness
Your brilliant open vessel
To be prayed
To be danced
To be sung
Love,
Alicia
