Whatever they say or do or see as me
I am free I am free I am free
To be me
Each aspect of Infinity
Sovereignty
Is what I see
Love is what I choose
What I am
In Truth
I see so are they
No matter what they see may say
And if I press the button
And see the words neatly slipped out of view
As they often are
Or I cannot go out in society
To join the crowd
Who've forgotten how divine they are
If my parents see
Rather what they see is a projection of me
If it is the same with two out of three
Of the children
Whose very bodies came through me
It doesn't really matter
Even if at times my heart has felt sadder
Or in tatters
Any more than a cloud
Obscures the light of a star
Or clothing covers skin
Innocence
Is who we all are beyond
Your or my definition
Of sin
Their opinion doesn’t really matter
Be brave
Be humble
Beyond the rave
Beyond
The grumble
Their views become their reality
But they need not be yours or mine
Each of us finds within
A diamond Valentine
Formed from Source
Light yet become our Humanity
Through like coal under pressure
Their views only matter
Only from a certain point of view
But never one that is True
From the Ultimate
And it doesn’t need to matter
In the Reality I AM
In this form
Waving peace to you
So that it may become matter
All The Love I have in my heart,
Alicia
This poem was inspired by the extraordinary
. Check out her post “Beyond Perception.” Here is an excerpt:As we walk through this world as a sensitive soul, we will inevitably pick up on things from others. Sometimes this occurs in ways we don’t even realize because it not only happens as words directed at us, but in feelings projected towards us. Without awareness, we then internalize these things, and they guide who we allow ourselves to be, and how we show up in this world. In this way, we either become the projections of others, or we become someone else in an effort to control them. Our journey to living as an emanation of our soul’s truth will ask us to move through all of these layers, and as we do, we are granting ourselves this permission- to consistently be our true selves in all of its glory. It isn’t our job to attempt to control the misperceptions of others. I can very well emanate the truth of my heart in every fiber of my being and I will still be perceived in a number of different ways. It is only ever our job to shine as truth. That is our greatest gift to ourselves and others.
Without a doubt we will be misperceived when we refuse to perpetuate the ways of this world, when we refuse to perpetuate illusion. There comes a time when we can see the beauty in this because we know that we are only moving in uncharted ways and paving the most beautiful path forward. People don’t have to clearly see to feel the beauty and truth in their wake, but it will touch them if and when it is meant to- showing them what is possible because it is humbly being lived.
Misperception is the pathway to true belonging.
