There is a man in his eighties who lives in the house behind the fence you see. He lets anyone pick his grapes and cherries. He lives along the not-so-secret passage where the children walk to school. There is also a big squash poking out of the fence. He said he wouldn’t mind if someone needed it if they took it.
I have lived in two cities with coffee shops that have roll up walls like garage doors so seating is open air in fine weather. The coffee shop here also has cozy armchairs and a fire place for the colder months of year. Imagine with me, a world where rooftop gardens are the norm, including edibles - herb, vegetable, fruit, mushroom and flowers?
Imagine if our food supply became integrated with our everyday lives, so that we became a bit more gatherers, while still participating in the aspects of modern life that authentically support our wellbeing individually as well as holistically in harmony with Mother Earth’s body, of which we are a part?
What if every business had a garden, with extra tax credits if it were edible and grown from seeds in their natural, unmodified arrangement of genetics, while joyously uplifting the space’s aesthetics?
What if every child had an herb garden and a mushroom log, and classrooms taught regenerative/indigenous gardening practices as early as preschool?

Yes, I was just thinking today how sad it is that the work of farmers is so underappreciated. People rather pay for modified and sprayed stuff. I also was not able to appreciate it in the past but now I feel I am going back to my roots. I hear what my body says. Just today we were taking poop from the stables of our friends who have animals with my partner so that we can have more compost for our fruit and vegetable garden. I would feel resentment in the past but now I feel so much appreciation that things can grow so well with love and natural nutrition. Thank you for gorgeous photos 💚
