Colonies
Poetry for Colonizing
The Inner Gut
A Sanctum
An ecology
My microcosm
Filled with microorganisms
Of the infinite organic
Colonization doesn’t always mean ooppression
But it can
Colonization means establishment of a species
That species can live harmoniously, beneficially
Or can cause toxicity
Can kill
Or live in balance
And when the whole is balanced
Each species is more likely to have its place without taking over
Even those that could, if imbalance existed, cause dis-ease
And so the answer is not to kill but to bring wholeness
An environment conducive to wellbeing
Without taking away anyones freedom to be
We all colonized at one time
Whether we came up on land from the ocean
Or down from space in water droplets
Or migrated ancient eons ago
Or came over on a ship
But I’m here to gently quip
And remind us that all can be welcomed and included
As colonizers
If we disentangle that word from domination
Because the problem is when one species
Or group is out of balance
And causes harm to the whole
We don’t need to eliminate
We just need to come in an inner harmony that naturally balances
Without pesticides
Or war
Without eugenics
Or things that cause our hearts to abhor
Simply by reaching for the wholeness
And creating health in one cell
One human light-being at a time
Transmitting non-locally all of the time
Shine your light
Shine your wholeness
Embrace with boldness
Colonizing your own life with a splendor of diversity
That allows all to flourish in peace
Contribution to the whole
Is a holy goal
And domination will go away
When we focus on contributing in this way
Amen
Aho
Let it be so
